DreamHack has announced that Ninjas in Pyjamas join the participants' list of their Masters event hosted in Malmö, Sweden.
Ninjas in Pyjamas's invitation to the event brings the team tally to a total of six, as the Swedes join the likes of Liquid, Vitality and Astralis at the event.
The team currently stands at #12 in the world rankings, just 25 points behind their successors, MOUZ. In recent times, the roster has shown an upward trajectory, as the team was able to make playoffs of a Big event in ESL One Cologne after sustaining group stage exits at three of their last four LAN tournaments.
The event in Malmö holds a special place in the organisation's history, as Ninjas in Pyjamas secured gold at the first ever iteration of DreamHack's Masters series, defeating Natus Vincere in the Malmö grand final in a distant 2016.
DreamHack Masters Malmö will take place on October 1-6, featuring $250,000 in prize money. With the addition of Ninjas in Pyjamas, the tournament's lineup looks as follows:
