DreamHack has announced that it has rescheduled the upcoming Summer Festival amid the coronavirus outbreak,önkö leaving the situation of the Masters event in Jönköping up in the air.
In a statement released on Twitter, DreamHack explained that it is "currently evaluating options available for how to proceed with DreamHack Masters" as it temporarily suspends all mass gathering events in an effort to contain the spread of the virus.
A DreamHack representative has clarified to HLTV.org that, for the time being, it is keeping its original dates of June 9-14 for its first Masters of 2020. DreamHack added that it is "in continuous dialogue" with the Counter-Strike Professional Players' Association (CSPPA) and other parties to make sure that any options that are being considered "have minimal impact on the CS:GO community, players, staff and other tournament organisers."
BIG and Gen.G were the first two teams confirmed for the $250,000 event in Jönköping following their victories at the DreamHack Open events in Leipzig and Anaheim, respectively.
